Research Report Release > Measuring Investment Decision Quality 2024
Panthera News. We share. We research. We sponsor.
We are pleased to present the inaugural edition of our research on assessing decision quality within the investment management industry.
This study addresses a gap in the existing literature, as the industry tends to focus on measuring stock and flow data broadly, yet overlooks how investment professionals transform data, information, and knowledge into evidence-based decisions. We hope you find the insights both original and practically applicable. This research report is the first of its kind and marks the beginning of an annual initiative.
The report concludes with 5 main insights and practical implications in the following domains:
> Regular use of risk management tools in decision making
> Existence of a formal process of periodic investment decision reviews
> Audit on congruity of individual assumptions of investment committee members
> Team capability to adapt to changing market conditions
> Skillful management of diverse opinions during investment discussions
