Gerhard Sogl Powers Panthera Expansion
The Panthera Group is pleased to announce the immediate appointment of Gerhard Sogl (profile).
As Panthera Ambassador, he will represent the Panthera Group across his broad global network of financial institutions, while also enriching its educational and research programmes with his deep expertise in creating effective leaning environments.
Gerhard brings to Panthera more than 30 years of cross-industry experience, spanning trading floors, executive leadership, and learning design. His rare combination of deep market expertise and a passion for applied analytics makes him an ideal contributor to Panthera’s mission of advancing decision intelligence in investment management.
Vitae
Before dedicating himself to professional learning, Gerhard built an impressive career in capital markets. During his years in New York, Gerhard served as Director and Head of LatAm Bond & Local Markets Trading at a major global investment bank, and earlier as a Senior VP at an international banking institution. He gained first-hand insight into the complexities of emerging-market trading, risk management, and cross-currency strategy. His later roles as Managing Director at real-economy firms in Brazil broadened his strategic and analytical reach.
Since 2014, Gerhard has been with a prominent UK-based professional finance association, where he currently serves as Head of Professional Learning. In that role he has pioneered data-driven and cognitively informed learning architectures that help finance professionals translate knowledge into consistent performance. His work integrates behavioural finance, sustainability, and digital pedagogy into cohesive programmes that align with global industry standards.
